Why is my Ad not showing

Posted by admin in News & Updates

Advertising online is way to get a person’s website out and once it starts getting hits to the page then real money can be made. There is a strategic method however that every person must follow in order for ad’s to start showing and although this method can be quite frustrating it can be well worth it in the end.

The hassle of getting ads shown can be even more of pain when you realize that your long hard work has not paid off because the ads are not even showing. However, this can be caused by even the tiniest mistakes. Here is a list of the most simple mistakes a person can make when placing ad’s up.

The first mistake deals with editorial guidelines. Editorial Guidelines are not easy to predict for any company since most every company has very different guidelines. These guidelines are fully advanced and if you do not follow them to a “T” you ad will simply not go up which will leave you feeling very frustrated.  Check out each guideline; build a checklist if you must to make sure that editorial guidelines are not the issue with your ad not showing.

Budget can be a big issue that many people simply overlook when it comes to getting their ad up to be seen. It is possible for a person to mistakenly put their ad up for a lot more than it is worth. This can come in the form of putting up an ad up for 65 dollars rather than 65 cents. Check your budget first before setting your ad up to go or just might not go.

Look at your bid price, is it realistically set for traffic? There are many new people trying to get into the search engine marketing business which means that their experience is not as good as their competitors which can lead to not knowing what a bid price should contain. Whereas the minimum bid price is just 2-3 cents per click there could be some other person who has found a bid price higher who is already making money from it. So look at your bid price and educate yourself, there is always a starting point when it comes to a bid price.

Uploading a spreadsheet can be another common problem when it comes to getting your ad to show. When it comes to adCenter, when you have uploaded a spreadsheet to the system adGroups does not become live until you clicked “submit”.

Your first step is to select an imported campaign. Secondly, choose Select an ad group page if you have not set up a budget. Select edit and then you can type in campaign budget and click “save”. Once you have done that, check the boxes next to the ad groups of the ones you would like to submit and then hit submit ad group.

You could also use the adCenter preview tool to verify that your ad is live online. Once you have set your ad campaign to live check it with this preview tool to make sure its generating clicks.
